Two new winners for District of Columbia USA crownedDecember 9, 2006 The Miss District of Columbia USA 2007 pageant was held December 9, 2006. The MC for the event was former Miss DC USA Liane Angus. The new Miss District of Columbia USA 2007 is Mercedes Lindsay. She also was the Evening Gown winner. The first runner up was Shannon Shambeau. Shannon is no stranger to the DC pageant stage as she is the former Miss DC '05 (MAO) and was fourth runner up at the national pageant. The second runner up was Francesca Harper, third runner up was Rebecca Stewart, and fourth runner up was Dionne McDaniels. The remaining semifinalists were Nicole Anderson, Allison Hill, Margaret Howell, Aspen Steib, and Jennifer Williams. The new Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2007 is Ava Goldson, who also won the Evening Gown award. The first runner up was Jasmine Alexis, who won the Swimsuit award and Miss Congeniality. Second runner up was Bethany Whitley, third runner up was Yvette Downs, and fourth runner up was Bretton Keating.
