A warm Wednesday night saw the opening night of the 2008 Miss Alabama Pageant at the Leslie Stephen Wright Fine Arts Center on the campus of Samford University. I arrived early to get good parking near the front because after attending for more than 20 years I know what it’s like at 10 pm – slow!
