I no more than arrived at orientation when a well-meaning (?) contestant from another division approached me to say, “I read your article on MORE.com about redefining beauty and I absolutely loved it! But I have to tell you, you are so much prettier in person than you are in your picture. Your photos don’t even begin to do you justice; I was expecting someone a lot heavier and more wrinkled looking. But, you’re actually kind of pretty in person” Umm, thanks….. I think (?).
