Miss Texas National Teenager Kindall Brackin adjusts her battery pack as she is interviewed by NBC affiliate KBTV Channel 4 on August 15, 2006. Kindall and her family lost their home and personal belongings when their home was crushed by a tree during Hurricane Rita on September 24, 2005. The Beaumont television station interviewed Kindall for a feature story highlighting her personal trials and triumphs of the past year.
