On June 2, 2007 Thomas Kinkade traveled to Dulles, VA for a special fundraiser for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. There he auctioned off a $12,000 painting with an original sketch he created on the back as the auctioneers and volunteers watched. One of the volunteers was Radiah Hyatte, Ms. North America Galaxy 2007 and Mr. Kinkade was gracious enough to interrupt his work to stop for a photo. All the proceeds from this event were donated to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
