The Miss America 2011 pageant is being held January 15, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. For an exclusive event as we will look back through the decades and pay tribute to our great American tradition, while honoring the 44 Miss Americas who have created an unforgettable legacy and will be joining us for the 90th Anniversary. 

Join our 53 State Contestants as they prepare for the biggest night of their lives and enjoy a beautiful performance from Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron.

Quality of Life

Miss Michigan Katie LaRoche has been named the winner of the Quality of Life award.  The first runner up was Miss Delaware Kayla Martell and the second runner up was Miss New Jersey Ashleigh Udalovas.  All received scholarships in the amount of $6000, $4000 and $2000 respectively.

Quality of Life Finalists

This year’s Quality of Life finalists were announced at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas during the 2011 Miss America Pageant Arrival Ceremony. Before the finalists were announced, the audience was treated to a surprise appearance by Grammy Award-winning group, Boyz II Men, who introduced each contestant to Las Vegas.

The winner of the Quality of Life Award will receive a $6,000 scholarship, the first runner-up will win a $4,000 scholarship, and the second runner-up will win a $2,000 scholarship.  Winners will be announced at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on January 14 during the 3:00 p.m. (PST) press conference.

Tuesday Prelim Results

Miss North Carolina Adrienne Core was named Tuesday night's preliminary Talent winner for her clogging performance to  "Soul Man," during the first night of competition of the 2011 Miss America Pageant. Adrienne will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Also in the spotlight was Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier, who was the Tuesday's preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in a black Swim 'n Sport swimsuit. Jalee will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Wednesday Prelim Results

It was a reunion for Miss America winners Katie Stam (2009) and Kirsten Haglund (2008) when they co-hosted the second night of preliminary competition in the 2011 Miss America Pageant with Denver Broncos star Reggie Rivers at Planet Hollywood’s Theater for Performing Arts last night.

Miss Rhode Island Deborah Saint-Vil was named Wednesday night's preliminary Talent winner for her vocal performance of "Smile," during the second night of competition of the 2011 Miss America Pageant.  Deborah will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Also in the spotlight was Miss Alabama Ashley Davis, who was the Wednesday preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in a black Swim 'n Sport swimsuit. Ashely will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

More than 40 young Miss Teen America contestants joined forces for an aerobic dance routine that was a smash, high-energy hit, and 15 former Miss Americas from five decades lined up onstage. There will be 48 Miss Americans on Saturday’s show.

Thursday Prelim Results

Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan was named Thursday night's preliminary Talent winner for her piano performance of  "White Water Chopped Sticks," during the third night of competition.  Teresa will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Also in the spotlight was Miss Oklahoma Emoly West, who was the Thursday preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in a black Swim 'n Sport swimsuit. -Emoly will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Final Results

Teresa Scanlan of Nebraska — just 17 years old — won the 2011 Miss America pageant in Las Vegas on Saturday night.Teresa will be a student at Patrick Henry College. Her scholastic ambition is to attend law school and she ultimately hopes to become a judge and eventually a politician. Along with the title of Miss America 2011, Teresa won a $50,000 scholarship sponsored by Artistry exclusively by Amway to continue her education. For the talent portion of the competition, Teresa performed  "White Water Chopped Sticks" on the piano.

The first runner-up was Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady who earned a $25,000 scholarship. Her talent performance was Vocal-Ventriloquism to "I want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" and her personal platform is Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Second runner-up honors and a $20,000 scholarship were awarded to Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier. Her talent was a vocal performance to "Feelin' Good," and her personal platform is "Ready for the Real World."

Third runner up honors and a $15,000 scholarship were awarded to Miss Washington Jacquie Brown.  Her talent was a vocal performance to "Pappa Was A Rolling Stone," and her personal platform is "Mentoring Positive Influences That Can Change A Life." 

And the fourth runner up honors and a $10,000 scholarshlp were awarded to Miss Oklahoma Emoly West. Her talent was a ballet en pointe to "Time," and her personal platform is "Leadership and Character Development."

Miss Texas Ashley Melnick and Miss New York Claire Buffie were dropped when the final 12 were trimmed to 10.

That means the eliminated after the talent portion were Miss Arizona Kathryn Bulkley; Miss California Arianna Afsar; Miss Delaware Kayla Martell; Miss Virginia Caitlin Uze, and Miss Kentucky Djuan Trent.

Also making the semifinals, but eliminated prior to talent were Miss Rhode Island Deborah Saint-Vil, Miss Utah Christina Low, and Miss Oregon Stephenie Steers.
