The Miss United States pageant took place in Las Vegas, NV from July 12-18, 2008.

The reigning Ms. Woman United States 2007 Sophia Hall was on hand to crown the new winner.

The new Miss United States 2008 is Brittany Williams of Nevada.

The first runner up was Miss Michigan Tifarah Brumback and second runner up was Miss Florida Jessica Minch (Florida).

The remaining top five finalists (in state order) were: Kelsey Holcomb (Kentucky); Brooke Singletary (Oklahoma); and Ashley Crossman (Virginia).
