The Miss America Organization is a scholarship pageant for women aged 17 to 24 who are at least a graduating senior in High School. Based in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and held for the first time out of state in Las Vegas Nevada, this system provides women with more scholarship opportunities than any other scholarship program worldwide.

The women compete in 5 phases of competition, which include: Presentation and Community Achievement in Interview; Artistic Expression in Talent; Presence and Poise in Evening Wear; On Stage Knowledge and Awareness and Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit.

America Trivia:

In January 2006, the pageant traded in the Atlantic City board walk for the sites and sounds of Las Vegas.
