Scholarship Pageant
As most of you all know, Alicia Clifton, Miss Oklahoma
Junior National Teenager 2005 has the "Guinness Book World Record"
for doing most consecutive pirouettes (36). We are excited to say that Alicia
will be appearing on Live with Regis and Kelly next week!! Guinness contacted
the show & here will be several people trying to break their own records.
So please watch TV on September 15th Friday. Since it is a live show, she will
be under tremendous pressure. If she does about 30, the Regis show producer
said that she would be fine. But who knows, she already broke her own record
when she was practicing (38). Wish her the best of luck!!!

America's National Teenager Day Proclaimed in Nebraska
What an amazing honor to have your organization recognized by the governor
of your state. On June 15, 2006 Governor Dave Heineman of Nebraska declared
a proclamation that June 15th was America's National Teenager Day. To celebrate
the event the NE Little Miss, Jr, and Sr queens and state directors met at the
capital in Lincoln, NE. We had the opportunity to tour part of the building
and take some amazing pictures. A tour group even stopped the queens to request
a picture with them.
America's National Teenager was recognized along with many other worthy groups such as cancer, mens health, deaf and blind, and
fire safety. State directors Susan and Shay Spady spoke briefly about our organization
and recognized each queen for their accomplishments. Pictured are Madison Novak
- NE Jr Sweetheart, Chelsea Engel - NE National Teenager, Carissa Kolbet - Miss Tri-City, Jordan
Somer - NE Jr National Teenager, Governor Heineman, Shay Spady and Susan Spady
- NE State Directors, Mercedes Tessman - Miss Hospitality, and Samantha Moline
- NE Sweetheart.
