Mrs. World ‘07 Delegates Reunite in Malaysia
Delegates including Mrs. World Diane Tucker visited Kuala Lumpur to promote the National Heart Institute at a fundraiser and fashion show. The 2007 delegates enjoyed reuniting after the international pageant. Mrs. Malaysia-World Beatrice Nirmala and her husband Alfred, publisher of Passions Magazine, served as special hosts for the group.
Mrs. World contenders visit Chechnya
A group of winners of Mrs.-2007 national-level competitions has arrived in Chechnya, said Abdul-Kakhir Izrailov, head of the Chechen presidential and government administrations. The group includes "16 representatives of the fairer sex," he told Interfax on Wednesday. They include Mrs. World 2006 Sofia Arzhakovskaya of Russia, Mrs. America Diane Tucker, Mrs. Germany Nickol Karp, and Mrs. India Celine Sheila Lopes, he said. The national contest winners will stay in Chechnya for three days. They will meet with Acting Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, visit schools and hospitals, and have numerous meetings with local women's organizations and creative groups scheduled. The women will also see Chechnya's sights. The visit will be capped with a concert performance.
Going to St. Petersburg
The Mrs World Pageant 2006 will be held in St. Petersburg,
Russia, April 14-29, 2006. The pageant will be televised on cable station
WE. Mrs. World 2005 Sima Bakhar,
of Israel, will be there to crown her successor.
